Felicia Poxon DeMotte, IN, Obituary; Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. worker has died

Felicia Poxon (née Panozzo), of DeMotte, Indiana, has passed away, leaving behind a family and community who loved her deeply and will forever cherish her memory.

Felicia is survived by her devoted husband, Patrick Poxon, and their precious son, Connor Poxon, who was the center of her world. She is also lovingly remembered by her father, Ron (Liza) Panozzo; her mother, Nicole Knuth Panozzo; her grandfather, Joseph Knuth; her father-in-law, Ted (Jerri) Poxon; and her mother-in-law, Deb (Gary) Chidester Poxon. She leaves behind her siblings, Christina (Micah) Farley, Peyton (Hunter) Mihalic, and Andrew (Emilee) Panozzo; her step-siblings, Christian Tamburich and Colin Nolder; and her sister-in-law, Sarah (Chase) Glancy. Felicia was a proud and loving aunt to Mia Farley and River Glancy, and to her nephews Malikai Farley and Oliver Glancy. She is also fondly remembered by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Carol Panozzo, and her uncle, James Knuth.

Born on March 17, 1994, in Chicago Heights, Illinois, Felicia built a life filled with love, laughter, and generosity. She married the love of her life, Patrick, on September 5, 2020, and in 2024 they welcomed their beloved son, Connor. Becoming a mother was Felicia’s greatest joy, and she poured her whole heart into raising her son, cherishing every moment they shared together.

Felicia was known for her bright spirit and her infectious, joyful laugh that could light up any room. She had a natural gift for making people feel seen and supported, and she would never hesitate to help anyone in need, no matter the circumstance. Her kindness, warmth, and selflessness left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Family and friends are invited to gather in her memory on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre, 606 E. 113th Ave., Crown Point, Indiana, from 3:00 p.m. until the memorial service at 6:00 p.m., with Pastor Scott Jones officiating. In honor of Felicia, guests are kindly asked to wear something purple, her favorite color.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to help establish a fund for Connor’s future. Contributions can be made through the GoFundMe page created in his honor.
